Laverne Valeck

            LaVerne Valeck, 83, of Park Hills, passed away July 3, 2018, at Country Meadows Nursing Home in Park Hills. She was born February 25, 1935, in Bonne Terre, to the late George and Pearl (Martin) Perret. LaVerne volunteered her time at the Park Hills Senior Center delivering Meals on Wheels and St. Joe Manor, visiting with residents without family members.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Valeck, Sr.; and one brother, Gerald Keith Perret.

            LaVerne is survived by her son, Kenneth Valeck, Jr.; one grandson; siblings, Maxine Hibbits of Bonne Terre, LaVada Rawlins of Desloge, Edward (Cindy) Perret of Colorado, and Wayne (Phyllis) Perret of Bonne Terre.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9:30 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Chaplain Alan Berry will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to Country Meadows Nursing Home in Park Hills.
