Laura Elizabeth Bockenkamp

Laura Elizabeth (Willard) Bockenkamp, 56, of Desloge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis on Thursday, March 30, 2023. She was born Wednesday, November 30, 1966, in St. Louis, to Frederick and Brenda (Jones) Willard.

Laura loved life, family, and friends, during her down times she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, listening to music, vacationing at the beach, and just taking rides through the country roads. She was a member of the Terre Du Lac Garden Club and enjoyed gardening but most of all, her pride and joy were her grandchildren that she loved spending time with.

She was preceded in death by her father Frederick “Fred” Willard; brother, Gregory Willard; sister in-law Stacy Bockenkamp; grandparents; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also preceded her.

Laura is survived by her husband of 27 years,  Donald “Scott” Bockenkamp, loving mother, Brenda (Jones) Willard; three loving children; Erica (Bockenkamp) Wigger, husband John; Brianna Bockenkamp and significant other Patrick Mahurin; Gregory Scott Bockenkamp; two grandchildren, Austin and Iris; three brothers, Jeffrey Willard and wife Diana (Grimes); Matthew Willard and wife Joël (Lappe); Aaron Willard and wife Tammy (Martin); in-laws Donald “Boo” & Patricia Bockenkamp; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her special group of ladies she had a long time friendship with till the end. Laura will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00P.M. Funeral service will be Friday, April 7, 2023, at 10 A.M. with Josh Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Germania Cemetery in Bonne Terre.
