Larry Lindell Shelley

Larry Lindell Shelley, 87, of Farmington passed away September 14, 2024. He was born June 12, 1937, in Farmington to the late Nixon Warner and Ruby Rose (Ramsey) Shelley. Larry was a member of Abundant Life Family Church in Farmington. 

Larry was a firm believer in working. He was a milk man for many years before going to work as a roofer. His hobbies were working early in the morning and working late into the night.

In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by his son, Kirby Shelley; daughter-in-law, Helen Shelley; two sisters, Connie Weber and Bonnie Farrah; two brothers, Dick Shelley and Nixon “N.C.” Shelley.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary (Smith) Shelley; two children, Bruce Shelley and wife Marcia, Brett Shelley; seven grandchildren, Stephni Shelley, Joe Shelley, Tessa Hamm and husband Dillon, Andrew Shelley and wife Caitlyn, Clayton Shelley, Mallory Koopman and husband Dan, Monica Gerdes; four great-grandchildren, Isabelle Natalie, Hailey, Evelyn; sister, Sharon Wein; three brothers, Warren Shelley and wife Norma, Mike Shelley and wife Irene, Brad Shelley and wife Belinda; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Rev. Rick Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorial donations may be made to Abundant Life Family Church.
