Larry Shaner

            Larry Shaner, 78, of Farmington, passed away July 11, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. He was born January 24, 1938 in Frankclay, to George Elmo and Allie Gladine (Wilkinson) Shaner. Larry was a retired Boilermaker at Nooter Corporation for 42 years, a member of Pinecrest Nazarene, and a faithful volunteer at Parkland Hospital for 16 years. Larry loved to fish and golf in his spare time.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Terry E. Shaner.

            Larry is survived by his wife, Beulah (Jackson) Shaner; daughter in-law, Deborah J. Shaner; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Sue Shaner and fiancé Mike Dees; dear uncle, brother in-law, and a host of friends also survive.

             Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume at 9:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2016 in the Chapel, with the service following at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dwight Presson will be officiating. Interment will be at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to The Alzheimer’s Association.
