           Master Chief Kimi Bohnenkamp USCG Ret, age 57 of Desloge, Missouri. passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Missouri. She was born January 20, 1963 in Redmond, Oregon.

           She is survived by her husband, John Bohnenkamp; parents, Daniel and Susie Helms; children, Danielle Bushnell, Rhen Bushnell, Morgan Raby, Austin Raby and Sarah Berry (Jon); grandchildren, Lev Bushnell, Paxton Berry and Penelope Berry; siblings, Angela Jernigan, Raeleen Stewart, Danitta Spensley and Davin Helms.

               Kimi proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. She retired after 27 years of service. Kimi was Past President of the Auxiliary and an avid member of VFW Post #2426 in Desloge. She also served proudly as the Past Commander of AMVET’s Post #113 in Farmington, where she was the first female to hold that position. Kimi was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the glue that held the family together. She was thoughtful, loving, kind and she loved horses, playing softball, reading, and karoke.   

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the VFW Post #2426 on 399 W. Oak Street Desloge, Missouri.
