Richard Kim Teer, age 73, of Farmington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Jefferson Mercy Hospital in Festus. He was born on Friday, June 22, 1951, in St. Louis to the late Hershel and Virginia (Shryock) Teer.
In addition to his parents, Kim was preceded in death by a grandson Trey Krodinger; three siblings, Terry Teer, Joyce (Charlie) Miller and William "Bill" Teer.
Kim proudly served in the United States Army, where he exhibited bravery and a strong sense of duty. After his honorable discharge, he devoted 32 years of service to Chrysler Corporation in St. Louis as a shop steward and committeeman, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Most recently, he had taken on the role of custodian at the St. Francois County Courthouse, where he continued to make a positive impact in the community.
Known for his love of the great outdoors, Kim cherished the autumn season, a time when he would often be found enjoying hunting trips for deer and turkey. His younger years were filled with cherished memories of camping adventures with his children. Kim along with Cheryl enjoyed taking long motorcycle rides together. Above all, Kim’s greatest treasures were his family and the moments spent with them, especially his adored six grandchildren: Brianna Teer, Jaden and Aston Golden, Aliyah, Landen, and Connor Teer. He took immense pride in being a loving father and grandfather, and his spirit will forever be a guiding light in their lives.
Kim is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Cheryl (Bond) Teer; his children, Todd (Rebecca) Teer, Stephanie Golden and Korey (Heather) Teer; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy Teer along with several nieces, nephews, friends and family.
