Ken Kluver, 88, of Farmington passed away June 22, 2024. He was born October 9, 1935, in Le Mars, Iowa to the late William and Clara (Ludwigs) Kluver. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmington. Ken worked as an Unit Manager with the Missouri Department of Corrections for many years. He loved to go fishing and reading John Stone western novels. He especially enjoyed spending time playing cribbage with his family, being involved with the Farmington VFW and the American Legion, and DAV. He will be remembered as a good friend to his neighbors and the best father in the world to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lavern Kluver, William Roger Kluver Jr, and David W. Kluver; and sister, Lavonne C. Richardson.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Phyllis L. (Bertram) Kluver; two daughters, Clarissa (Carri) Davis and husband James, Jennette Lynn Tracy and husband Michael; grandchildren, Niccole Richardson, Samuel Miller, Kyle Davis, Caleb Tracy, Elizabeth Tracy, Bintou Richardson, Lavontay Richardson, Tania Richardson; great-grandchildren, Ian Miller, Jayden Miller, Abby Jo Miller, Brandon Blankenship; two brothers, Dennis E. Kluver (Merlie), Tom R. Kluver (Dixie ); sister, Dianne R. Anderson (Anthon);and loving nieces and nephews, family and friends also survive.
A visitation will be held at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with an American Legion, VFW and DAV service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Friday, June 28, 2024, at 9:00AM until time of service at 10:00AM with Rev. Stephen Constien officiating. Internment with full military honors will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran School in Farmington.
