Ken Bailey, 86, of Desloge, passed away April 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by the ones he adored. He was born in Desloge, March 27, 1938, to the late Ernest and Dorothy (Davis) Bailey. Ken was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Park Hills and the Church Deacon for 50 years. Ken worked at River Cement Company for over 30 Years. He was a member of Foothills Car Club and his favorite hobby was restoring old cars and winning trophies for them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marion Bailey and wife Janet; sisters in-law, Betty Rehkop and Dot Schoelhamer; brothers in-law, Jim Conway and wife Delores, Bill Johnson, Bud Phares, Dean Rehkop, Wally Gray and Don Rehkop.
Ken was the loving husband of 67 years to Peggy (Rehkop) Bailey; father to Kevin Bailey and wife Kathy, Randy Bailey and wife Terri, Chris Jennings and husband Steve; doting grandpa of Ryan (Stacey) Naprava, Brendan (Taylor) Bailey, Amanda Ramsey, Andrea SanSoucie, Brandi Simmons, Heather (Tony) Polus, Joshua (Marquitta) Dorris, Brad Jennings and Nick (Larissa) Jennings; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters in-law, Carol Johnson Atkins, Shirley Phares, Brenda Gray; brothers in-law, Lindell Rehkop and Ken Schoelhamer.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Brother Curt Gwartney will be officiating assisted by Brother Wayne Phillips. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Park Hills.
