Karen Louise Waldecker

Karen Louise Waldecker, 59, of Bonne Terre, MO, formerly of Cahokia, IL passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. Karen was born Saturday, February 2, 1963 to John “Jack” Hudson, Jr. and Vera Ann (Watkins) Hudson.

 Karen was a licensed mixologist and enjoyed creating and crafting cocktails in her Bartender career days. She had a love for music, dancing, baking and was a wonderful homemaker. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandsons, family and was a proud mother of her children, Michael McGathey (Lisa Logan), Ray Sashankar; step-daughters, Amity and Nicole; grandchildren, Brandon Weible, Mani Kumar Sashankar; siblings, Jean Cox, John Hudson, III, Jr., Curt Hudson, Cathryn Case (Jimmy) and Lisa Brown. Karen was a second mother to her special nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those who preceded her in death were her father,  John “Jack” Hudson; loving husband, David Waldecker; and her dear son, Ray Sashankar in 2021; and Steve Hudson.

Visitation will be held at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre, Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00am with Pastor Ben Durbin officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Bay, Missouri.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
