June Harris

June Harris, 87 of Desloge, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at her residence.She was born Friday, May 15, 1925 in Desloge to the late Charles Shelton Bryan and Audrey (Cook) Bryan.June became a nurse, and worked for 45 years, in places such as, Bonne Terre Hospital, Farmington Community Hospital and Parkland Health Center.She later taught in the Nursing Program at Mineral Area College until retirement, and finished her career with 3 years in Home Health Nursing.June and late husband Dwight Harris also owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Flat River for over 40 years.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Park Hills. She is also preceded in death, not only by parents and husband Dwight Harris, but sons, Robbie Harris and Chuck Harris; as well as grandson, Chad Amos; brother, Bob Bryan and sister, Mary Giessing. June is survived by daughters, Sheila (Mrs. Jim) Boyer, Janie (Mrs. Michael) Amos, Mary Skaggs and son Jeff, Pattie (Mrs. Bruce) Gilliland; fifteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister in-law, Margie Bryan. The visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.The visitation will resume at the First Baptist Church in Park Hills, on Saturday, July 28, 2012 with the service immediately following at 11:00 AM.Rev.
