Judith Anne Hagerty, affectionately known as Judy, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, at Mercy Jefferson in Festus, at the age of 82. Born on February 19, 1943, in Elvins, she was a beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Bonnie (Faulkner) Gibbons.
Judy dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving as a quality control specialist at the Flat River Glass Company, where she was proud to be one of the first employees. Her commitment and work ethic were hallmarks of her character. A member of the New Heights Church in Farmington, she found community and strength in her faith, which served as an anchor throughout her life. In her youth, Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life: curling up with a good book, sewing, and making memories on family trips to Branson. These pursuits painted her life with warmth and love, and she passed that passion on to those she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 56 years, Raymond “Valle” Hagerty; son Jerry Hagerty and wife Nancy; grandson, Alexander Raymond Hagerty; sisters in-law, Kim Gibbons and son Shane; Toni (Sullivan) Hagerty; Tom and Shelia Campbell.
Judy will be deeply missed by her family and friends, as she leaves behind her cherished children, James Hagerty and wife Diane of Park Hills, John Hagerty of Farmington, Jeff Hagerty of Farmington, Carla Rasnick and husband Matt of Park Hills; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Gibbons of Shell Knob; brothers in-law, David Hagerty (Charlene), Mike Hagerty (Lara); beloved fur baby, Jack; numerous other family members and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume at 9:00 AM, Thursday, April 24, 2025, until the service time of 11:00 AM. Reverend Mike Hagerty will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
