Judith “Judy” Irene Beister, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis on December 19, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on December 31, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, Judy made her home in Farmington, Missouri, where she nurtured deep connections with her family and community.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Evelyn (Jones) Nottelmann; son, Darrell Beister; grandson, Ryan Beister; siblings, Donald Nottelmann and wife Carol, Richard Nottelmann and wife Marge, Marian Miller and husband Duane.
Judy worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Illinois and Missouri. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pilot Knob, Missouri. Throughout her life, Judy found joy in playing board games and cards with friends and family. She enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and was often surrounded by the laughter and love of her family. She cherished the time spent with her beloved dog, Sandy, and always looked forward to visits with her children and grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela DeGuire; her devoted son, Kevin Beister and wife Heather; and her cherished grandchildren, Amy Kamin, Alec Biester, Brennon (Zeke) Foster, Alyssa (Anthony Quinton) Linze, Kendall (Colleen) Beister, Bryan Arnett, Nick (Mia) Beister, and Sean DeGuire; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Boyd along with several nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home- Taylor Chapel in Farmington from 4:00 PM until service time of 6:00 PM.
