Josephine "Boots Rawlins

Josephine “Boots” Rawlins, 80, of Leadington, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, December 7, 2024, at Belleville Memorial in Belleville, Illinois. She was born February 27, 1944, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Joseph and Mertie (Smith) Vasquez. Josephine was a member of the Farmington Church of God. Boots was an avid bowler most of her life, even winning a Missouri bowling Championship.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Trinka Cochran as well as four siblings.

 Josephine is survived by her loving husband, Edward Rawlins; her children, Cindy Hill (Tim), Tammy Brown (Mike), Craig Rawlins (Denell), and Robby Rawlins (Christine); 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; along with other family members that survive.

 A visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday at 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral Service at 11:00 AM with Reverend William Rawson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington. Memorials may be directed to the Farmington Church of God in Josephine’s memory.
