Joseph William Woolford, Sr.

            Joe Woolford, Sr., 84, of Farmington, passed away March 1, 2016 at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born July 10, 1931 in Annapolis, to the late Fred and Olive Amanda (Douglas) Woolford. Joe loved working with wood, gardening, and canning, as well as the outdoors.

             He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Douglas Woolford; four sisters, Maydenne, Orion, Wilma, and Ada.

             Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Thelma (Hasty) Woolford; four children, Rhonda (Mrs. Tim) Whited of Desloge, Paula (Mrs. Bobby) Coleman of Mineral Point, Joe Woolford, Jr. of Farmington, and Brian Woolford of Troy; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

             Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, March 3, 2016, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ed Watson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
