Mr. Joseph Smith "Joe" Faenger passed away Friday afternoon, May 2, 2014, at DesPeres Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 65 years, 1 month & 23 days. Joe was born on March 9, 1949, to the late Percy L. Faenger & Margaret 'McDaniel' Faenger.

Joe married Susan Elaine Kollmeyer, on December 17, 1977. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington; a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force & a retired Truck Driver. He enjoyed working outside in his yard, camping, watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, NASCAR races and picking on his beloved grandchildren, including Allison.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Faenger, of Farmington; daughter, Amanda Kaye (Daniel) Stegall, of Bonne Terre; three grandchildren: Taylor Marie Richards, Trevor Joseph Stegall and Trace Lynn Stegall. Three sisters: Kay Van Riper, of Trenton, Michigan; Valerie Marler, of Cape Girardeau and Jennifer Faenger, of St. Louis. Brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Bobby (Maggie) Kollmeyer, of Summersville, Missouri; Kenny (Sharon) Kollmeyer and Nancy (Mike) Eaves, both of Farmington. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends. Also a very special little "Princess" Allison Schaupert & family, of Farmington.

Visitation : Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes, Wednesday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., May 7, 2014

at : St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Pastor James King officiating

Interment at a later date at Lutheran Cemetery, Farmington

Memorials to : St. Paul Lutheran Church Organ Fund or Bear Creek Kidz 4-H Club.
