John Harder, 92 of Park Hills, passed away July 21, 2014 at St. Luke's West, surrounded by his friends and family. John was born August 6, 1921 in Vinta, OK, to the late William L. and Martha (Cope) Harder. John served his country in The United States Army during WWII from 1942 to 1945. He and his wife Pat were the owners and operated Harder and Patterson Firestone in Park Hills for 41 years. John is a member of the First Baptist Church in Desloge. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gladys Moore and Margaret Taff; three brothers, Homer, Robert, and Kenneth Harder. John is survived by his loving wife, Pat (Patterson) Harder; two sons, Larry D. Harder and wife Joanne from St. Louis, and Mike D. Harder and wife Ann from Waco, TX; grandsons, John Harder, Adam (Kendal) Harder, Joel (Donelle) Harder, and Evan Harder; one great-granddaughter, Philece Evadeen Harder; sisters, Alice Cox, Juanita Hatch, and Betty Hildreth; sister in-law, Jean Harder; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume at the First Baptist Church in Desloge, Friday, July 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM to service time at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Bradford Laubinger officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Desloge.
