It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Nathan King, affectionately known as "Big John," who left us on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 59. He was born on Wednesday, May 12, 1965, in St. Louis, to the late Daniel Christopher and Bonnie Sue (Dace) King.
Big John dedicated his life to his family and his work as a heavy equipment operator in the excavating industry. He was the proud owner of King’s Construction in Farmington for over 26 years, where he made a significant impact on the community through his hard work and dedication.
Big John was a generous soul with a huge heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He cherished his time on the farm, where he found joy in nature and took pride in caring for his land. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Jake King and wife Lori, daughter, Kimberly King, beloved grandchildren, Hunter, Emma and Paige King, Dakota Dixon; sister, Chris Wills; stepbrother, Lee Gardner Jr.; nephews, Jason and Justin Wills along with other family and several special friends.
