John Joseph Riley Jr.

John Joseph Riley, Jr., 87 of Terre Du Lac, passed away December 9, 2012 at St. Joe Manor. He was born October 31, 1925 in Chicago IL. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Europe during World War II. He was preceded in death by parents, John Joseph Riley, Sr. and Margaret (Schmidt) Riley; former wife, Genevieve Riley; daughter, Rita (Werner) Domitro; grandson, Andrew Domitro; step-son, Gene Doerr, Sr.; sister, Mildred Mackowak; and brothers, Robert and James Riley. John is survived by wife, Gwendolyn (Doering) Riley of Terre Du Lac; children, Karen L. (Michael) Collins of New Lennox, IL., Patricia (James) Hopman of Florida; grandchildren, Karen Marie (Scott) Etters, Barbara (Christopher) Borden, Joyce (Edward) Richardson, Brian (Candice) Hopman; step-son, Charles (Valerie) Alberti; step-grandchildren, Leo Alberti and Christina Alberti; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Alexander Church in Palos Heights, IL. Memorials can be directed to VNA-TIP Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
