John James Martin, Jr.

John “Johnny” James Martin, Jr., 70, of Bonne Terre, passed away March 18, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 6, 1945 in Bonne Terre to the late John James Martin, Sr. and Jettie May (Wood) Martin. Also preceding him in death was his son, John James Martin III.

Johnny served in the National Guard and enjoyed meeting his friends at Country Mart every morning. He will always be remembered for his tomato plants.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Carla Sue (Johnston) Martin; daughter, Tracy and husband Mike Runyon; grandchildren, John J. Martin IV, Michael Martin, Joey Misuraca, Matthew Misuraca, and Karlie Misuraca; great-grandchild, Gabriel Misuraca; siblings, June and husband Ed Yoder, Jerry and wife Judy Martin, and Janice and husband Charles Murphy; and several aunts, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Service will be held at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Bonne Terre on Tuesday at 11 am with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bonne Terre.
