John F. Compton Jr

John Compton Jr., 67 of Desloge, passed away at his residence, Tuesday, January 24, 2012.He was born October 4, 1944 in Bonne Terre, to the late John F. and Delores (Johnson) Compton Sr., and later served his country in the United States Marines. John is survived by his sister, Betty (Mrs. Marvin) Horton; nephews, Ted (Michelle) Horton, Aaron (Alison) Horton; great nephews, Garrett, Tyler and Eli Horton; great niece, Felicity; special friend, Mary Johnson and her family, Corey, Cody, Julia, Jayden, Jared, and Dylan. His visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2012.The service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 10:00 AM.Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
