John Edward Smith

Eddie Smith of Bonne Terre passed away May 2, 2011 at the age of 77. He was born March 24, 1934 at Sligo, MO to the late Herbert Ralph Smith and Wilma (Wagnor) Smith. Eddie was a 45 year member of the Bonne Terre Fire Dept. Eddie was also preceded in death by son-in-law, Henry Lord; two sisters, Mary Fitzgerald and Wilma Botkin. Eddie is survived by his wife, Shirley (McCord) Smith ;two daughters, Terrie (Mrs. David) Pettus, Roberta Lord; one son, Rodney (Jeannie) Smith all of Bonne Terre; Grandchildren, Jeremy (Julia) Pettus, Andrea Pettus, Alana (Rusty) Pulliam, Bryan Lord, Emily and Katie Smith; Great grandchildren, Matthew, Logan Pulliam,Jared and Jayden Pettus and Sylvia Korn. Also survived by one brother, Jimmy (Norma) Smith of Salem, Mo and brother in law Tony Fitzgerald of FentonVisitation Wednesday, May 4. 2011 4 p.m. C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel. Interment will be at Little Vine Cemetery.
