John Benjamin Lindsey

John Benjamin Lindsey, 88, of Leadwood passed away August 24, 2013, at his residence. He was born November 18, 1924, in Staunton, Illinois, to the late John B. and Ethel (Huttinger) Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his wife Melba Jane (Allen) Lindsey and one brother Eldlo Lindsey.Mr. Lindsey was an Army Veteran during WW II serving as an anti-aircraft gunner on supply ships. John is survived by one son, Terry Gertiser and wife Sue of Park Hills along with three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive, Meldean Richardson and Gertrude Ross, a sister-in-law June Lindsey and several very special friends.Visitation will begin Tuesday August 27, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge with services following at 7 p.m.
