Joel Daniels, 88, of Festus, passed away April 19, 2022, at Fountain Bleau Nursing Home in Festus. He was born August 14, 1933, in Alicia, Arkansas, to the late Albert and Lottie (Richey) Daniels. Joel served his country in the United States Army and later retired from McDonnell Douglas, as a chemical processor. He loved to walk, read, fish and do woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Lillian (Ealy) Daniels; great-grandson, Keeton Propst; siblings, Hasten Daniels, Donnie Pritchard, Dora Pritchard, Millis Medvrich, and Treva Kinnard; grandson, Gary Lee Laux and in-laws, Barb Daniels and Ronnie Kinnard.
Joel is survived by his daughters, Vicky Laux and husband Gary, Debbie Watson and husband Ferrell; grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Watson, Sommer (Rodney) Propst, Tim (Jennifer) Laux, Stacy Laux, Melissa (Scott Eckl) Holifield; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ted Daniels, Bonnie Isaac, Virginia Chadwell, and Odell (Rita) Daniels; several nieces, nephews and other family members, also survive.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at noon. Pastor Michael Barton will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park.
