Joey “Jody” Don Barton

            Jody Barton, age 61, of Leadwood, passed away May 4, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.  He was born on September 16, 1956 in New Port, Arkansas to Donald and Hazel Lorraine (Tims) Barton. He was a member of the Church of God in Leadwood.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Becky (Rasnic) Barton in July of 2016; brother, Art Barton.

            Jody is survived by his children, Adam (Jessica) Barton and Hope Barton; two grandchildren; sister, Sondra Dee Plummer; brother, Grady Barton, Sr. also survive.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, May 7, 2018 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Leadwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family, in care of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home.
