Joanna Jane (Cash) Charleville, age 92, of Farmington, MO, passed away at her residence, Ashbrook Manor, on February 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Joanna was born April 25, 1932 to the late Lexie and Louise (Koester) Cash in Bonne Terre, MO. Joanna was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Park Hills, MO.
Joanna was born into a large loving family. She married Carl Lewis Charleville on February 3, 1951. Carl preceded her in death in 2012. Joanna was a devoted wife and mother. They lived in Festus until they moved to live on Bull Shoals Lake in Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri. Joanna loved living there, enjoying the surrounding nature of the Ozarks. She was proud of her yard, which was full of flowers and trees that she and Carl planted during the many years that they lived there. Joanna then moved back to Park Hills to live near her beloved family. She loved quilting, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, bird watching, fishing and spending time with her family, who meant everything to her. Joanna was a natural helper, and had jobs as a Head Start Teacher, Nurse’s Aide and Postal Worker, but the best job she had was as our mom.
Joanna is survived by her children, Carla (Edward) Tuokko, Kevin Charleville, Carol (William) Gill, Karen “Ky” Charleville, Craig (Jill) Charleville, Kelly (Edwin) Cantrell, Christy (Daniel) Nickolaus, and Roger (Becky) Charleville; sixteen grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Cash, and Samuel Cash; and sister, Lexa (David) Hisey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Rosemary Cash, Burnetta Luebbers, and Bonnie Barron; brother, David Cash; brother-in-law, Allan Luebbers; sister-in-law, Lillian Cash; and sister-in-law, Ki Cash; and brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mary Charleville.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Park Hills, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Larry Huber officiating. The internment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Vincent DePaul Society, The Alzheimer’s Association, or Serenity Hospice Care.
Many thanks to the staff at Ashbrook Manor and Serenity Hospice Care for the wonderful care they provided for our mother.
