JoAnn Marie Allen

JoAnn Marie Allen, 52, of Belgrade passed away March 18, 2025 at Washington County Hospital in Potosi. She was born June 18, 1972 in St. Louis, MO. JoAnn was a special education teacher. She loved her students as her own children. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, caring for her farm animals and also working as a licensed opossum rehaber. She also loved her dogs, playing bingo and listening to Garth Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert M. Allen; grandparents, Dominic and Frances Mangiaracino; and aunt, Rose Gregali and husband Tony.

JoAnn is survived by her mother, Frances (Mangiaracino) Allen; aunt, Cathrine Mangiaracino; cousins, Joe (Julie) Mangiaracino and their children, Chris (Ayman) Gregali, Beth Gregali; her partner, Tim Brown and his son, Alex Brown.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Missouri or the Opossum Rehab & Education of Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
