Joan Gross

Joan Eileen Yost Gross, 80, died at 4:26 p.m. Tuesday, 22 November 2011 at the home of her daughter, Rebecca, where she spent the last seven months of life in their final battle with Alzheimer's.Born 12 February 1931, in Alton, Illinois to Walter F. Yost and Eileen K. Couch.On 11 December 1948 she married William Alvin Gross, son of Irene M. Rice and Alvin Gross.She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Alvin Gross of Cape Coral, FL, three children and two grandchildren. Daughters, Rebecca Joan Gross Moore of Bismarck, Missouri, and Janet Ann Gross Tebeau of Brighton, and son, Stephen William Gross of Grafton, Illinois and wife Debra Capps Gross. Also, surviving are two grandchildren: Tracy Lynn Neal of Jerseyville, and Colt William Gross of Granite City.She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Richard W. Yost.Visitation will be Sunday, November 27 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at CZ Boyer Funeral Home, 1116 N. Desloge Drive, Desloge, Missouri 63601.
