Joan Brewer

          It is with great sorrow, the family of Joan Brewer announce her passing on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at the age of 65 years at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.  She was born, the ninth of fourteen children, on May 18, 1956, to the late James L. and Cleta O. Roney.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Roney. 

          Joan will be lovingly remembered by her son, Paul Joseph Brewer; grandson, Morgan Brewer; granddaughter, Lauren; her brothers, James E. Roney, Arthur (Merry) Roney, Frank Roney, Darren Roney, Dennis (Kellie) Roney; sisters, Sharon Roney, Karen Roney, Cleta (Leslie) Cash, Katherine (Danny) Horton, Kerry (David) Glore, Shirley (Danny) Peoples, and Mary (Mike) Coleman.  Joan will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many dear friends.

          Joan was a loyal employee of U.S. Tool for 35-plus years and truly enjoyed the comradery of her coworkers.  She was a faithful Christian with a sweet, kind and fun disposition.  Her generosity was beyond measure, especially with her family.  When she got sick, we had every confidence that she would defeat the illness that threatened her.  Sadly, she lost her battle and we lost our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She is now pain-free embraced in God’s arms.

          A memorial service will be determined at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
