Jimmie Lee Carmack, 84, of Bonne Terre passed away August 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1933 in Valles Mines. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Bonne Terre Church of God where he was the music leader for 46 years. Jimmie was a retiree of General Motors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Cordelia (Milligan) Carmack; son, Jimmie Dale Carmack; granddaughter, Whitney Carmack; two brothers, Billie Carmack and Ronnie Carmack; two sisters, Linda Smith and Carol Sue Bird; step-mother, Wilma (Weaver) Carmack; grandson, Tory Rice.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Skaggs) Carmack; three children, Terri Wells and husband Lloyd, Kenneth Carmack, Doyle Carmack and wife Vickie; five grandchildren, Erin DeClue (Alan Ketcherside), Ryan (Jennifer) Carmack, Keith Jennings, Nicole Wells, Christopher Wells; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Dale Carmack, Jr., Madeline Carmack, Skylar DeClue, Kaylon Carmack; great-great-granddaughter, Averie Carmack; sister, Barbara (Ralph) Stricklin.
Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Visitation will resume Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Bonne Terre Church of God with the service beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Clevenger officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Hall Cemetery in French Village. Memorials may be made to Bonne Terre Church of God.
