Jesse Hedgecorth Ii

Jesse P. Hedgecorth, 75 of Desloge, passed away July 7, 2014 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born September 29, 1938 in Gumbo, to the late Jesse and Nettie (McNelly) Hedgecorth. Jesse was a member of Esther Baptist Church, Elvins Ionic Masonic Lodge and past master on 3 occasions. He is retired from Missouri Correctional Center after 13 years. Jesse also served his country in the United States Army and trained recruits on automatic weapons. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lowell Hedgecorth; step-son, Harold Dean Masters; and step-daughter, Tina May. Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Hedgecorth; Jesse (Glenes) Hedgecorth III of Desloge; step-son, Zane Goehman of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia (Mrs. Bob) Welker of Richmond, and Rosemary Whaley of MS. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM. The service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 10, 2014, with Pastor Jonathan Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Big River Cemetery in Irondale.
