Jerry Soens

            Jerry Soens, 69, of Farmington, passed away March 12, 2017. He was born July 27, 1947 in Poplar Bluff, to the late Elmer M. and Lillie Belle (Mayse) Soens. Jerry graduated from Poplar Bluff High School and Bailey Institute of Technology in St. Louis. He later served his country in The United States Air Force. It was during this time, he married Judy Frances Hyde. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked for the Coke Company, Keebler, and U.S.A. Drug. Jerry was a radical St. Louis Cardinal Fan.  

            He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Randy Soens; two sisters, Donna Sliger and Debbie Baucom.

             Jerry is survived by his wife, Judy Soens; sister, Judy Brown; brother, Pete (Connie) Soens; special sister, June Hyde; in-laws, Gene (Debbie) Hyde, Paul (Jeannie) Hyde, Frank Hyde and Della Mae Keene; several nieces, nephews; and special friend, Rascal also survive. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son chapel, Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Swatosh and Rev. Pete Soens officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington with full military honors. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Desloge.
