Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Krus Sr. age 79 passed away Sunday September 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on October 28, 1931 to the late Alexander & Helen Krus. Also preceded in death by his Sister, Theresa.Jerry was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mineral Area Elks Lodge, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a past president of the Terre Du Lac Association and Terre Du Lac Home Owners. Jerry played 3 A baseball for the Pittsburg Pirates. Jerry was the owner and operator for House of Trophys in Granite City, Illinois for over 36 years. Beloved husband for over 50 years to Mary Ann (Kientzy) Krus; loving father to Jerome J. (Susan) Krus of Fort Worth, Texas, Sheila and (Bob) Henry of OFallon, Il and Michael (Dawn) Krus of Terre Du Lac. Dear Grandfather of Alex Krus of Texas, Heather (Matt) DeVine of Swansea, IL., Lindsey (Joe) Rushing of OFallon, IL. Ryan, Kelly and Kyle Krus of Terre Du Lac; Great-Grandfather of R.J. and BradyVisitation will be Wednesday September 7, 2011 5 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with a prayer service at 6 pm. Funeral Mass will be Thursday September 8, 2011 at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre with Rev. John Schneider officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
