Mrs. Jean 'Hammers' Bradley passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Louisville Norton Hospital, Louisville, KY., at the age of 80 years, 3 months & 26 days. Jean was born July 30, 1930, in Ste. Genevieve County, and was the daughter of Marvin Hammers and Lottie 'Rector' Hammers Brown. Also preceding in death were: 1 son, Dwain Roberts, and 2 brothers: Marvin Hammers & Carl Brown.
Jean was a Caregiver for over 60 years. She was Co-Owner & Operator of the L & J Residential Care Facility in Farmington, for 26 years. She enjoyed crappie fishing and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jean was united in marriage to C. Leroy Bradley on July 27, 1974.
Survivors Include : her husband, C. Leroy Bradley, of Farmington; 2 Daughters: Pat Hutchinson, of Farmington; Tami (Mrs. Eric) Roberts-Simmons, of Middlebrook. 1 Son: Gary Roberts, of Farmington. 2 Step-Daughters: Linda 'Mrs. Tim' Dunaway, of Kidder, MO & LaDonna 'Mrs. Stan' Wollard, of Kansas City, MO. 3 Brothers: Ron (& Geri) Hammers, of Farmington; Don (& Jean) Hammers, of Ste. Genevieve; Wilburn (& Vickie) Hammers, of South Carolina. Sister-In-Law: Betty Brown, of Bonne Terre. 11 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great, Great-Grandchild. Also surviving are numerous Nieces & Nephews. Special Friends: Dale (& Pat) Pinkston, of Ste. Genevieve County. Best Friend: Royselle Hammers, of South Carolina.
In State : Sunday, 4-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Monday at 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Monday, 1:00 p.m., November 29, 2010
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. David Wright and Rev. Charles Smith officiating.
Interment : Three Rivers Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve County.
