Janet Karen Thornton

Janet Karen (Sanders) Thornton, 77, of Bonne Terre, MO passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was born on Sunday, January 30, 1944 in Jefferson County, to the late William Sanders and Marzella Merritt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jim and Ted Sanders. Janet worked at Walmart in customer service for years, she was a loving mother to her two children. She enjoyed collecting treasures, and had the patience of Jobe.

Janet is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frank Thornton Jr, her children Tracy Thornton and wife Kim, Stephanie Haynes and husband Mickey; three grandchildren Jenna Aga and husband Hysen, Zachary Haynes and Haley Thornton and one great- grandchild Lillith Paige Aga as well as her sister Wilma Crammod (Deb O’Connor).

Visitation will be Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at 3:00 P.M. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home and Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Bobby Upchurch officiating.
