Jane Mardini

Jane Mardini age 78 passed away March 4, 2011 at her residence. She was born November 29, 1932 in New Jersey to the late James G. and Florence (Heyman) Skipper.In a addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward (Bo) Mardini Jr. and James Mardini.Jane was a registered nurse for many years and a volunteer for several organizations. With her nursing background Jane was very instrumental in starting the nurses in Ambulance program in New York at Belleview Hospital, locally she was very instrumental in forming the Bonne Terre Hospital Explorer Post. Jane was also very active with the World Health Organization where she traveled to many countries on behalf the W.H.O.Also locally Jane was a supporter and volunteer for the Girl Scouts, Explorers, Boy Scouts and The March of Dimes Foundation. Jane is survived by her Husband Dr. Edward Mardini M.D.; Daughters, Susan Mardini and Laila (Sam) Curran; Grandchildren, Nicole Mardini, Keith Curran, Jake Curran, and Casey Curran; Great Grandson Trenten Mardini; Brother Donald Skipper; Daughter-In-Law, Angela Mardini and several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation with the family will begin at 5:30 pm on Monday March 7, 2011 at Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Memorial Service will be that evening at 7 pm officiated by Allen Baranovic. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Bonne Terre Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry.
