Jane Ellen Smith

Jane "Ellen" Smith, 43 of Desloge, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL.She was born September 9, 1968 in Cape Girardeau. She worked at Spokes Pub and Grill as a manager and server for 7 years.She attended Leadbelt Pentecostal Church, and as an infant, she was baptized at Farmington Presbyterian Church and confirmed at Ironton Presbyterian Church in 1981. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elmira Glore; grandparents, E.W. and Pauline Strickland; and grandfather, Henry Warren. Ellen is survived by husband, Frank Smith Jr; parents, Richard R. and Jane (Glore) Strickland; children, Jantzen Blake Strickland, Frank "Frankie" Monroe Smith III, and Lauren Scarlett Jade Smith; grandchildren, Erin Nicole and Jantzen Blake Strickland II; sister, Thela Marie Strickland; father and mother in-law, Frank and Bonnie Smith; sister in-law, Coni Le (Mrs. Jimmy) Black.She was loved by many of her friends and customers at Spokes Pub and Grill. Family will receive friends at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.The service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with Brother Bob Patterson officiating.Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Gardens in Bonne Terre.Memorials may be made to the family, in care of C.Z.
