James Leonard Christopher

            James Christopher, 74, of Farmington, passed away February 18, 2017 at Community Manor in Farmington. He was born November 30, 1942, in DeSoto, to the late Leonard James and Pauline (Erny) Christopher. James was retired Air Force, a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Farmington, and a life member of the AMVETS Post 48 of Desoto. 

            He was preceded in death by parents; one brother, Richard Christopher, and two brothers in-law, Terry Howard and Jim Speidel. 

            James is survived by his wife Mildred (McLane) Christopher; siblings, Patty Howard, Betty Creswell, Judy Speidel; sister in-law, Joyce Christopher; brother and sister in-law, Crockey and Kathryn Peterson. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, February 24, 2017 from 9:30 AM until service time at 10:30 AM. Reverend Eddie Bone will be officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be directed to the Kidney Foundation.
