James L. "Louie" White, Sr., 90, of Montgomery, TX
formerly of Bonne Terre passed away September 3, 2013 in Conroe, TX. He was
born May 25, 1923 in Doe Run, MO. James proudly served his country in the
United States Army during World War II as part of the 101st
Airborne. He received a Purple Heart after he became a POW when he was captured
on D Day in Normandy. James was also a Lifetime Member of the Samaritan Lodge #
424 in Bonne Terre.He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and
Bertie (Thurman) White; wife, Helen (Jokerst) White; son, James L. White, Jr.;
grandson, Clayton Kennon; two brothers, Thurman Dale White and John Henry
White, Jr.; sister, Nina Fox.James is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Mrs.
Charles) Coplin of West Columbia, TX and Charma Blount of Montgomery, TX; seven
grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister,
Helen Marie Pettus of Colorado; brother, Robert G. White and wife Ethel of
Bonne Terre. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be Friday, September 6, 2013 from
4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
Service will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in
Bonne Terre. Interment will follow at St. Francois
Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice of Conroe at 100 I-45
