Mr. James Rece "Jim" Finch, of Farmington, passed away early Sunday morning, February 20, 2011, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center, in Farmington, at the age of 70 years, 9 months & 13 days. Jim was born May 7, 1940, in Mine la Motte, Missouri to Willard Rece Finch & Grace S. 'Huffman' Finch. Also preceding in death were: 1 son, James Dwayne Finch, in-infancy (Dec. 1961); 1 brother, Willard Junior Finch; 1 half- brother & 1 half-sister.
Jim was a longtime, faithful member of First Assembly of God Church, Farmington. He was a U.S. Army Veteran & a member of the Teamsters & Carpenters Union.
Survivors Include: his wife: Mary Katherine 'King' Finch; 3 Children: Christopher Bryan (& Becky) Finch, Sr.; Christina Renae "Mrs. Joseph S." Kochis, II & Jason Rece (& Rebekah) Finch, all of Farmington. 1 Sister: Karen Kay "Mrs. Orin Wayne" Fuller, of St. James, Missouri; 5 Half-Brothers; 2 Half-Sisters. 8 Grandchildren: Bryan (& Ashleigh) Finch, Brianna Finch, Chelsea Storz, Madison Kochis, Nathan Kochis, Mariah Finch, Landon Finch & Ainslee Finch & 1 Great-Grandson, Lincoln Finch.
Visitation: Tuesday, 4 -9 p.m.
Visitation resumes Wednesday, 6:30 - 8 am @ Taylor Funeral Service.Visitation moves to and resumes at 9:00 a.m. at Farmington First Assembly of God Church.Funeral: Wednesday, 10 am, Feb. 23, 2011 10:00 a.m., at Farmington First Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Hugh Cerutti, officiating, assisted by Rev. Kevin Davis & Rev. Joe Kochis.
Interment with Full Military Honors follows at Marcus Memorial Cemetery, Fredericktown.
The funeral procession from church to the cemetery will be led by Patriot Guard Riders.Memorials may be made to *First Assembly of God Church, Farmington &/or *Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
