Jim Goad, 75, of Park Hills, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014. He was born November 25, 1938 in Bonne Terre to the late Wintford and Blanche (Wood) Goad. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Goad; brother in infancy; and sister Alberta Monroe. He loved to fish, hunt, spend time with his grandkids and was well known as a master gardener. Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years Ruth (Ragsdale) Goad; son Tom Goad; daughters, Becky Stevens and husband Sterlyn, and Brenda Pace and fianc Sonny Wakefield; six grandchildren, Stephanie Gilliam and husband Kyle, Derek Stevens and wife Shayna, Jordan Pace, Mackenzie Pace, Mikayla Stevens, and Brooklyn Pace; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Sawyer, Emmalyn, Joshua, Korban, Lilly, and Jep; brother, Fred Goad and wife Carol; brother-in-laws Willard Rider and. Elwood "Knot" Ragsdale; sister-in-laws Berniece Dodd and Lorene Ragsdale.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 3:30 to 8 pm and will resume at 12:30 pm, Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church. Service starts at 2 pm with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating and assisted by Rev. Fred Goad. Interment will follow at Woodlawn cemetery. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church.
