James Edward Pratte

Ed Pratte James Edward "Ed" Pratte, 74, of Park Hills was born October 9, 1939 and passed away at his home on August 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Elsie (Gibbons) Pratte along with two brothers, Larry and Garry Pratte and one sister, Georgia Pratte. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Ward) Pratte; three sisters, Sandra Eden of St. Louis, Marcia (Robert) Behymer of Wildwood, Elizabeth (Launius) Wellman of Festus; two brothers, Burt (Donna) Pratte, Barron (Joann) Pratte of Farmington; several nieces and nephews, and many close neighbors and friends. Mr. Pratte proudly served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Elvins Baptist Church, Elvins Ionic Masonic Lodge, Desloge VFW POST 2426 and the Farmington American Legion. Visitation will be Monday August 11, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday August 12, 2014 at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge, with Rev. Douglas Clinton of Senath, MO officiating and Rev. Bob Webb of Farmington assisting. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to Presbyterian Hospice of Mid America in Farmington.
