James Carrol Sutphin

JC Sutphin, 31, of Potosi, passed away August 17, 2015 due to the result of an auto accident. He was born August 29, 1983 to Carrol Cole and the late Lielia Sutphin. JC served his country in the United States Army, where he served 3 tours in Iraq and was later stationed in Korea before departing the service in 2014. He was a volunteer fireman for the city of Leadwood, and was a member of the ROTC in high school. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lielia Sutphin; grandpa, James D. Sutphin; grandparents, Zetta and Noah Cole. JC is survived by his children, Briana Nicole Sutphin and Chloe Jubilee Waters; father, Carrol Cole; stepmother, Stephanie Wright; 4 brothers, Douglas S. (Mandi) Sutphin, Brady (Tyandra) Cole, Brandon Cole, and Tyler King; 3 sisters, Lisa A. Bargo, Crystal Sutphin, and Jessica Sutphin; and grandmother, Linda Sutphin. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. The service will be officiated by Rev. Mike Barton. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to family in care of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre with full Military Honors.
