James Campbell, Sr.

     James William Campbell Sr, 79, of Bonne Terre passed away at his residence on February 7, 2021. James was born October 2, 1941 in Festus, Missouri.

     James was a maintenance technician with Alcoa manufacturing in St. Louis he retired 17 yrs, ago. He was a member of the Dogwood Chapel in Lake Timberline, the DeSoto Masonic Lodge # 119 and Knights of Columbus in Herculaneum. James was an avid reader of Western books. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. His dogs Boss and Buster were a big part of his life. James will be missed by all that knew and loved him. 

     James was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mary (Witte) Campbell, loving wife Marsha Kay (Pruitte) Campbell, daughter; Willa Dickerson, son; Joe Campbell, sister Mary Lee Pappas.

     James is survived by children; James (Lynn) Campbell Jr, Charles (Pamela) Campbell, Sandy(Dennis) Self, Gene (Kathy) Campbell, grandchildren; Bryan, Dillon, Tyler, Jordan, Billy, David, Lance, Riley, Grace, Charles, Cathy; several great-grandchildren, Liam, Lillith-Anne, Braeden, Jayden, Kaylie, Aleah, Jasmine, Emerie, Gavin, Iris, Gage, Lexi, Gwen. And his sister Willa King.

     The family is planning a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
