Jackie MonroeMiller, born September 5, 1938 passed away May 22, 2013. He passed peacefully with his loving wife byhis side. Jackie started his Navy Career at the age of 18. He then met his angel Mary Arthur Wallace in1956 in Jackson Tennessee they were married June 9, 1957 at Jackson FirstBaptist Church. After all the good food and well wishes from friends and familythey began their life together in Hutchinson Kansas and have enjoyed 55 yearsof blissful marriage. Jackie issurvived by the following, Jack and Mary gave birth to 4 children. Jerry Lee Miller currently lives in ThibodauxLa with his wife of 22 years Kimberly.Michael Monroe Miller currently lives in Memphis Tennessee. Jack finally got his baby girl in 1963 SharonElizabeth Miller Chriscaden currently lives in Glendale AZ with her Husband of11 years, Christopher. Anthony James Miller currently lives in Moberly, Mo. Jack is survived by 16 grandchildren and 4great grandchildren. Three sisters NormaJean Wallace of Bonne Terre Husband deceased, Joyce Mahurin of West Columbia TXHusband Sunny and Sue Pulley of Bonne Terre Mo, Husband deceased and 1 brotherPhillip Miller of Desloge with wife Cheryl.Also by a few uncles and aunts. Notto mention several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jack had one sister in law on Marys sideLoquita and multiple others in laws.Jack is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, mother and afather in law, 2 brothers in laws and a step grandson. Jack severed 20years in the Navy and was extremely proud of his sacrifice to his country. Heretired with the Rank of E6. He workedon Jets and his crew referred to him a Chief. After he retired from the Navy hewas employed by the Tennessee Board of Education teaching Auto Mechanics. Afterthe Auto Mechanics job ended he worked for several years at Blackstone. With his mothers health failing he decidedto move to Missouri. Jack then landed ajob with the Missouri Correctional Department. In 1992 he surrendered to preachafter refusing the calling for years.His Ordination service was August of 97. He filled in for preacherswhenever needed. Unfortunately Jack had developedCOPD several years earlier he developed complications that ultimately ended hislife. Knowing Jack you knew what ajokers he was he love to play jokes on people and loved to make peoplelaugh. Jack and Mary shared a marriagethat can only be described as spiritual. Their marriage was the type ofmarriage that most only dream of. Jackfound an Angel and was lucky to have her, they were lucky to have eachother. This was Marys Jack.Visitation willbe Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 5 to 9 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son FuneralHome in Bonne Terre. Service will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 at C.Z. Boyer& Son Chapel at 11 am with Rev. Ron Poole officiating. Entombmentwill follow at St. Francois Memorial Park with full Military Honors.
