Mr. Jack William Clay passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2015, at Camelot Manor, in Farmington, at the age of 91 years, 3 months & 26 days. Jack was born Jan. 2, 1924, in Flat River, and was the son of Paul Joseph Clay (dec'd 1993), and Beulah H. 'Iahn' Clay (dec'd 1990). Also preceding-in-death were: his wife, Ann 'Martin' Clay, (1999); a brother, Bob Clay and a sister, Polly Anna Clay.
Jack was a long time Veterinary Technician at Farmington Animal Hospital. Jack was a US ARMY-Air Corps Veteran of World War II, and a member of LePere-McCallister American Legion Post #416 & Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post #5896, both of Farmington. Jack was a longtime, faithful member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Farmington & member of St. Francois County Historical Society.
Survivors Include : a daughter, Linda (& Larry) Schlichter, of Farmington. a son, Joseph (& Marianne) Clay, of Dunnedin, FL; a sister, Shirley Slover, of Kirkwood, MO; 4 grandchildren: William Schlichter; April Schlichter; Wesley Schlichter & Scott Kelly. Also, 5 great-grandchildren: Rachael Schlichter; Jackie Schlichter; Chloe Skaggs; Kierstan Kelly & Clayton Kelly.
Visitation : Friday, 2-6 p.m.
Memorial Service with LeadBelt PGR & Military Honors : Friday, 6:00 p.m.
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL
Interment (at a later date) : Parkview Cemetery, Farmington, MO.
