Mr. John Thomas "J. T." McDowell passed away late Friday afternoon, March 7, 2014, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center, in Farmington, at the age of 81 years, 1 month & 11 days. J.T. was born on January 26, 1933, in Mountain View, MO., & was the son of W. L. McDowell and Blanche Jailie 'Aulsbury' McDowell.

J.T. was a longtime faithful member and Deacon at Farmington First Baptist Church. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War & member, LePere-McCallister American Legion Post #416 of Farmington. J.T. was an Over-The-Road Truck Driver & united in marriage on June 3, 1955, to JoAnn Snyder.

Survivors Include: his wife, JoAnn 'Snyder' McDowell, of Farmington. A daughter, Donna Kaye Callihan, of Trenton, MO & a son, Rick (& Tina) McDowell, of Farmington. 2 sisters: Millie (& Paul Lynn) Bradley, of Farmington, and Betty (& George) Ormsbee, of Athens, GA. 3 Grandchildren: Ashley 'Mrs. Justin' Driemeier; Jacob (& Cady) McDowell and Katelyn Callihan. 1 great-grandchild, Kiley. Also surviving are numerous Nieces & Nephews.

Visitation : Monday, 5-8 pm Visitation resumes Tuesday @ 6:30 am

LePere-McCallister American Legion Services : Monday, 7:00 p.m. @ TAYLOR CHAPEL

Visitation moves to Farmington First Baptist Church & starts Tuesday @ 10:00 a.m.

Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., March 11, 2014

at : Farmington First Baptist Church with Dr. William C. Miller and Rev. Larry Johnson officiating

LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders will lead the funeral procession to Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington,

For Burial with full military honors.
