Ivan Willis Carter

Ivan Carter, 88, of Bonne Terre, passed away March 3, 2018 at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre.  He was born on December 8, 1929 in Carter County to the late Joseph Lloyd and Edith (Cates) Carter. Ivan proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the River Worship Centre in Park Hills.

In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Carter; two brothers, Freeman and Sherman Carter, three sisters, Naomi (Carter) Dockins, Verna (Carter) Roberts and Brenda (Carter) Collins.

 Ivan is survived by his wife, Barbara (Parker) Carter; step-son, Shaun McRoy; step-daughter, Jennifer Lowder; five grandchildren; sister, Letha McElvoy and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Pastor D. J. Edwards officiating.
