Irene Baker

Irene Dolores Baker, 89 of Desloge, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Delmar Gardens in Fenton. She was born January 17, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bonne Terre and was an LPN for fifty years. Irene was a foster parent for Catholic Charities since 1958. She was preceded in death by mother, Josephine (Boyer) Chase; son in-law, Jon Nilges; two sisters, Marcella and Marian. Irene is survived by husband, of70 years, Albert Baker; children, Marcella (Mrs. Charles) McKinney of High Ridge, Eloise Nilges of St. Peters, Thomas (Angie) Baker of Ballwin; foster child, Nicholas Richards of Desloge; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home of Desloge, Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM.The service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bonne Terre, Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:00 with Rev. John Schneider officiating.The interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bonne Terre.Memorial can be made to P.A.T.H. in Farmington.
