Ima Blankenship

            Ima Blankenship, 82, of Desloge, passed away June 20, 2016 at NHC in Desloge. She was born in Swifton AR, January 19, 1934, to the late William Earl and Bessie Lee (Rutledge) Herring. Ima was a long time member of the former Esther Church of God.

             She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James H. Blankenship; three brothers, J.E. Herring, Jimmy Dale Herring, and Carl Herring; sister, Dolly Cossey, and sisters in-law, Mildred and Pauline Herring.

             Ima is survived by two children, Allen Gray of Desloge, and Judy Ann (Gray) Stallins of Princeton, KY; two grandchildren, Jake and Alicia Stallins; two brothers, A.C. Herring and Howard (Melva) Herring; sister in-law, Francis Herring; and brother in-law, Jr. Cossey.

             Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C. Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Desloge VFW Post #2426.
