Hubert C. Bowles

Hubert Bowles, 69 of Desloge, passed away April 30, 2012 at his residence.He was born May 15, 1942 in Oxford MS.Hubert retired, as a United States Army Veteran of 20 years, in 1982.He served two tours during Vietnam with The Big Red One Infantry.Hubert was also a member of the Festus VFW Post as well as The American Legion. He is preceded in death by parents, John and Gladys Bowles; great granddaughter, Christin Thompson; great-great granddaughter, Savanna Thompson. Hubert is survived by wife, Helen (Marler) Bowles, daughter, Beverly Thompson; sons, Fred (Janet) Hamman and Cleveland (Kathy) Bowles; siblings, Edith (Charles) Dooley, Ruby (Thomas) Baker, and Marion (Martha) Bowles; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. Visitations will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home of Desloge, Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.Service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel of Desloge, Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM.Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington with Full Military Honors.
